Join us and learn how we grow great zinnias!  Zinnias are a fun addition to your home cutting garden or patio!  They’re know for being an “easy flower” but not much is easy about growing in Central Texas.  But with some tips and tricks, you can grow great zinnias all summer long!  In this workshop we’ll chat about seed starting, transplanting, pinching, fertilizing, disease and insect pressure, harvesting and vase care.  I’ll share what the trendiest colors are, where to buy seeds, and what you could also include in your flower garden to pair with zinnias in a vase!  This will be a fun, casual workshop in our flower field, so please wear sun protection and closed toed shoes. We’ll have a handout for you, but bring a notepad and pen!  P.S. this class is intended for home gardeners (of all levels), not professional growers! 🙂

We’ve added the option to add-on a 6 pack of mixed zinnia transplant so you can practice what you’ve learned.  Or, add on a mixed zinnia bouquet and try your hand at flower arranging at home! Or both!

Other notes:

  • This workshop will be outdoors.
  • A lot of farming is out of our control: pests, the weather, etc.  If we don’t have the volume and quality of flowers required to create a memorable workshop experience, we will cancel the event and refund your money.
  • Please note that that we are a working farm and we see rattlesnakes, fire ants, etc on a regular basis.  You will be asked to sign a waiver upon arrival and you assume risk when purchasing your ticket!
  • Please leave your sweet pups at home!
  • This workshop is all ages, but we don’t have any “kids activities” on the farm.  Please only bring your kiddos if you think they’ll be engaged in the conversation!  They cannot wander off by themselves.  Thank you!
  • Our parking area is roughly 1/4 mile from the flowers fields.  Please expect to walk about 1/2-3/4 mile total.
  • The restroom is located in our house and will, of course, be available if needed. Please consider using the restroom before arriving to avoid extra walking.
  • No refunds unless canceled by the farm.
