  • We are so happy to be resuming Best Buds Club, our version of a CSA (Community Supported Agriculture). What is Best Buds Club? It’s a celebration of seasonal flowers grown sustainably right in Austin! Some weeks you might get a mixed bouquet and some weeks you might get a straight bunch of flowers (ex: a big bunch of zinnias).  Note: this differs from last year when each week was a mixed bouquet. Best Buds is really all about celebrating what’s peaking in our fields! When: 10/1, 10/8, 10/15, 10/22, 10/29  (Note: we cannot refund your money if you are unable to pick up your bouquet). How: when purchasing, select your pick-up location of choice (non-farm locations include a small delivery fee), check your email every Friday for a reminder email, and then swing by the pick-up spot on Saturday to snag your flowers.  Easy! Why: Best Buds always gets first crack at the cool stuff coming out of our fields.  Also, signing up for Best Buds directly impacts our ability to continue to grow flowers sustainably (it’s more expensive to not use chemicals!), pay our employees a higher wage than average, and to continue to slowly invest in our farm.  We cannot thank you enough for your support! Perks: we’ll be hosting FREE Field Walks throughout the year for Best Buds Club members. Once a bud, always a bud! Guarantees: despite best efforts, sometimes the flowers and the weather just don’t cooperate.  Please note that on occasion, we might need to refund your money for a week if we cannot fulfill our promises.
  • We are so excited to be hosting a bouquet making workshop on the farm!  October is a really beautiful month in the flower field as the surrounding landscape is awash with yellow from the blooming native Solidago and Maximilian sunflowers, the air is cool (finally!) and typically migrating butterflies are flitting about! The workshop includes:
    • An in-depth tour hosted by Sam and Dan.  The tour will focus on our sustainability efforts, our vision for the future, an overview of the floral industry (as a whole), and much more! Plenty of time will be allotted for questions.
    • Snacks! Herbal iced tea/water and some kind of baked goodie made by Sam (who used to be a baker)!
    • Sam will lead attendees through her process of creating her “farmer’s bouquets.”  This class is not focusing on arranging in a vase (no vases provided) but rather how to make beautiful hand held bouquets using seasonal flowers!  All materials will be provided.
    • Flowers! You’ll be working with enough flowers to make either one large bouquet, or two smaller ones.
    • Open farm time until 2 pm.  Feel free to bring a picnic and a blanket if you’d like to stay on the farm after the workshop ends.  Please note that we don’t have our BYOB license yet and we kindly ask that your picnic doesn’t contain alcohol.  Thank you for understanding!
Date: Saturday, 10/15 (we will refund your money if it rains, but we will not reschedule) Time: 10 am until 12 noon, plan to arrive by 9:45ish Where: 9112 Thaxton Rd Austin, TX 78747 Wear: you MUST wear closed toed shoes, absolutely no exceptions. Thank you for understanding! Other notes:
    • A lot of farming is out of our control: pests, the weather, etc.  If we don’t have the volume and quality of flowers required to create a memorable workshop experience, we will cancel the event and refund your money.
    • Please note that that we are a working farm and we see rattlesnakes, fire ants, etc on a regular basis.  You will be asked to sign a waiver upon arrival and you assume risk when purchasing your ticket!
    • Please leave your sweet pups at home!
    • Workshops are for those 16 years and older. If you have a baby/newborn, please feel free to email and we can chat!
    • Our parking area is roughly 1/4 mile from the flowers fields.  Please expect to walk about 1/2-3/4 mile total.
    • The restroom is located in our house and will, of course, be available if needed. Please consider using the restroom before arriving to avoid extra walking.
  • Field Walk 10/14

    $10.00$50.00
We are so happy to be able to share the farm with y’all!  We envision these Field Walks as very casual tours.  Less structure, less farm history, more wandering and enjoying the flowers. We hope to host Field Walks frequently, and to have more in-depth tours once or twice a year.  Eventually we want the Field Walks to be BYOB! Stay tuned for updates on that. Tickets: we are limited by the number of cars we can fit in our parking lot.  Tickets are sold by the number of people in EACH CAR so please consider carpooling with your buds! Date: Friday, 10/14 (we will refund your money if it rains, but we will not reschedule) Time: 6-7, plan to arrive around 5:45ish Where: 9112 Thaxton Rd Austin, TX 78747 Wear: you MUST wear closed toed shoes, absolutely no exceptions. Thank you for understanding! Other notes:

  • This is a handcrafted, farmer’s choice bouquet featuring the freshest flowers in the field! Each bouquet is 15+ stems, so we would consider it “medium” in size.

Please note that the end of the bouquet will be wrapped with wet paper towels and soy waxed paper (completely compostable!) but will not be delivered with water.  Please ensure that you (or the recipient) will be home on the day selected for delivery.  Thank you!
